Tickets are selling quickly for our production of the Rogers & Hammerstein classic, Carousel,  the play that Rogers called his favorite. This is a show with a little bit of something for everyone – from beautiful ballads, to big chorus, song and dance numbers, from laughs to tears, from adorable children to a classic villain, this show has it all. And, even better, it is set in Downeast Maine!

The play follows the unlikely romance between carousel barker Billy Bigelow and millworker Julie Jordan and the consequences of their love. The show is peppered with vibrant  characters, such as Nettie Fowler, the vivacious, caring women who holds the town together and brings the house down with “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” and Carrie Pipperidge and Enoch Snow who also find themselves in love, with a very different set of consequences. Come join the cast as they sing, dance, love and cry – and have a clambake!

Tickets are $22 general admission, $18 students, $15 seniors. Reserve your tickets today by calling 207-200-4720 or emailing info@newsurrytheatre.org. Stay up-to-date on all the latest news from the show, including photos, on our facebook page.

Carousel features Tim Pugliese as Billy Bigelow, Johannah Blackman as Julie Jordan, Suzanne Eaton as Nettie Fowler, Summit Coleman as Carie Pipperidge, Greg Holman as Enoch Snow, Peter Coleman as Jigger Craigen, Maureen Foye as Mrs. Mullins, Matt Murphy as the Starkeeper, Adam Mathewson as the Heavenly Friend, Tony Rolfe as Mr. Bascome, Maren Koenka as Louise, and a most lovely chorus of very talented ladies, gentlemen and children.

We hope you will visit our friends at New Surry Theatre!!
