The late Lee Patterson absolutely loved to sing. A long-time member of our group, Lee thought everyone else should sing too. To that end, he set up and endowed the Lee Patterson Scholarship for Classical Voice Training.
Thanks to his generosity, we each year award two $500 Lee Patterson scholarships toward classical voice lessons. The awardee must be at least 14 years old, and sign up to sing in our next production as a lead or in the chorus.
If you’d like to be considered, come to the auditions for Ruddigore held October 19th and 21st (2024) at the Moore Center, 125 State Street, Ellsworth. Prepare a song to sing–a Gilbert & Sullivan might be a good choice, but not required.
