Thank you to everyone who attended our performances of The Sorcerer, and to our generous friends and contributors.
A very generous admirer has challenged the community to donate $5,000.00 to our Society. If we meet the challenge, our benefactor will provide a matching donation of $5,000.00! Please help us meet this challenge!
The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Maine (formerly, the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Hancock County) was established as a non-profit, 501c(3) charitable organization in 1976. Our mission is to preserve the works and traditions of W. S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan for the enjoyment of ourselves and audiences in Eastern Maine and abroad. Your donation is tax-deductible.
This year is a tipping point for us. Our bank account is dangerously low, and we are in real danger of folding. Your help is needed to keep this art alive in Downeast Maine!
Please send your check to GSSME, Box 1791, Ellsworth, ME 04605.
Thank you!
We will vote on slight revisions to our By Laws, elect officers, and enjoy ourselves!
The Annual Meeting is a convivial Pot Luck. Contact us for directions!
No auditions ever required to sing in the chorus!
We particularly need men for Ruddigore - please contact us to join our group!
(Enthusiasm and interest are as important as an ability to carry a tune!)
We welcome new members!
Old or young, experienced or not, G&S neophytes and Old Timers!
Speak to any of us, or drop us an email!
